Corporate Advisory

Owners get advised on the documents. Rarely on the deal.

Daniel Jude Corporate Advisory grew out of the transaction work of Daniel Jude Lawyers. Years of acting on business sales, acquisitions and restructures made the gap obvious, by the time a deal reaches the drafting stage, the decisions that determine its outcome have usually already been made often without anyone advising on them. We work on those.

A dedicated adviser for the deal itself.

The legal work gets done but the commercial questions whether that is this the right buyer, the right structure, the right price, or is this the right time, too often go without a dedicated adviser. Daniel Jude Corporate Advisory was established to be that adviser.

We advise on mergers, acquisitions, business sales and ownership transitions for privately held companies and their shareholders whether that be founders, families, management teams and the investors behind them. These deals are usually commercial and personal at once, and we’re equipped for both.

What carries across our group is the standard the name Daniel Jude stands for, precision, candour, and advice you can act on.

Four working principles.

01

Outcome first

Outcome first

Before process, price or structure, we work out what a good outcome actually looks like for you, that is the proceeds, timing, legacy, your role afterwards, and the people who come with the business.

The strongest negotiating position is a business that is genuinely ready to transact, that is clean information, defensible numbers, and no surprises in due diligence.

Deals die from lost momentum more often than from disagreement. We keep the process moving and the pressure where it belongs.

We will tell you plainly when the transaction on the table is not the right one. Our advice is not contingent on a deal completing.

No panel. No product. No referral fee.

We are paid by you and by nobody else, which is what lets us tell you to walk away from a deal when walking away is the right answer.

Start a conversation.

The first conversation is confidential, without obligation, and usually the most valuable hour of the process.
